Remarks
. This species was originally described from
Parahydromys asper
(Thomas, 1906)
from the
Southern Highlands Province
of
Papua New Guinea
(
Beveridge, 2008
), being the only species of the genus known from the region. The current collections substantially increase the known host and geographic range of the cestode.
