Syntype series lost.
Diagnosis.
Characters taken from Stein’s (1910: 156–157) key are as follows: frons in male over twice as wide as width of postpedicel; female fronto-orbital plates chocolate-brown in upper half; presutural area of scutum with a pair of distinct dark spots in male, these smaller and separated by a rather broad vitta in female, postsutural area with a complete dark transverse band; postsutural dorsocentrals 4; hind femur with 4–5 (male) or 2 (female) anteroventral setae before apex; hind tibia with 1 anteroventral seta.
Notes.
This was a name proposed by Stein for
Limnophora
osten-sackenii
sensu
Stein (1910: 156)
. It was proposed in a key and was never mentioned again by Stein. No locality was given. No specimens bearing this name have been located in CUM, BMNH or ZMHU (
Pont 2013: 69
).
