Description
. Apparently as described for
P. dasypogon
, but legs entirely brown and thorax more darkly patterned.
Type
material
.
Lectotype
(♀,
ZMHB
) There are two
syntypes
, one damaged. The intact female is illustrated here and is designated as
lectotype
(labelled in red) as "
lectotype
Scipopus rufilabris Enderlein
" and in white as "
Pseudeurybata rufilabris (Enderlein))
". The other specimen is labelled as a
paralectotype
. Both specimens have the same original label data:
MEXICO
. Jacuapam Purpus S.V.
Distribution
.
Mexico
,
Guiana
(?).
Remarks
.
Pseudeurybata rufilabris
is known only from the two
type
specimens, and is included here on the basis of photographs and notes taken at ZMHB in 2002. It is clearly a
Pseudeurybata
, but the combination of a dark body, unbanded femur and uniformly brown foretarsus is unique in the genus.
