The specimens seen showed a bit more distinct pseudosegmentation of the body than those used in its redescription (
De Smet 2005
); habitus and trophi otherwise identical. Males present, similar in habitus to females, but smaller (~150 µm), and without trophi.
The species was found in psammon from the Costa Brava, Côte d’Azur, and Tyrrhenian Sea, at
50 m
to
3.5 km
off shore, and depths varying from 15 up to
30 m
; June, July, September, October; water temperature 16−21 °C. Previous records are from the Norwegian Sea at Bergen,
