Remarks : Protzia halberti is a well­defined species. A combination of diagnostic characters is: the medial margins of Cx­3 and Cx­4 on the same level, genital flaps present as straight sclerified strips ( Fig. 1 ); P­2 medially with two pennate dorsodistal setae ( Fig. 3 ); total length of palp 370­420 in males, 410­470 in females; caudal Ac long (length>39 µm, ratio length/width 1.3­1.8); chelicera robust (ratio L/H 4.1­4.5, rarely up to 4.9); leg claws with 5­9 (in most cases>6, see Fig. 2 ) medial clawlets ( Gerecke, 1996a ). In Table 1 the measurements of the specimen from Bosnia are given. Distribution : Ireland , Central Europe, Balkan. First record of the species in the Balkan peninsula.
