This species is similar to L. formosae (Strand) and L. occidens (Smith) from eastern Asia. It is separated from both species by the integument of the female mesoscutum with distinct tessellation, the lateral and posterior surfaces of female propodeum with dense tomentose hairs, and the tuft of hairs on the male S6 longitudinally narrow apically ( Fig. 7A ). In contrast, in L. formosae and L. occides , the integument of the female mesoscutum nearly smooth, the lateral and posterior surface of female propodeum with sparse tomentose hairs, and the tuft of hairs on male S6 thick apically ( Figs. 7C , 8B ).
