( Figure 1C ) Description Female Integument chestnut, darker in the head, scape and prothorax; yellowish in the antennae, ventral face and legs, scattered yellow pubescence in the elytra, legs and ventrites. Antennae shorter than body, the apices attaining the apical third of the elytra. Elytra coriaceous, with finely transverse corrugations over the whole surface. Ventrite V with the apex transversely truncated. Etymology The species epithet “ flavus ” (Latin for yellow) refers to the prevailing color of the body. Measurements in mm, holotype female Total length 21.5; prothorax length 2.6; prothorax width 5.5; elytral length 16.5; humeral width 5.6. Type material Male holotype , Brazil , Pará : Melgaço (Caxiuanã), 26.VI.1998 , O. Silveira and J. Dias col. ( MPEG ) .
