Neolarra vigilans
(Cockerell, 1895)
Counties:
Washington
.
Comments: Known from just a single location in
Minnesota
: the Grey Cloud Dunes Scientific Natural Area. Recently,
Gibbs
et al.
(2023)
reinstated
N. mallochi
Michener
from synonymy with
N. vigilans
; our specimens remain consistent with the updated species concept of
N. vigilans
. Its likely host is
Perdita perpallida
, which is active at the same time at the Grey Cloud Dunes. The likely association with
P. perpallida
was also noted by
Gibbs
et al.
(2023)
.
