Male. Body small. Fastigium verticis conical, apex obtusely rounded, dorsal surface with 1 thin furrow ( Fig. 7A ). Eyes nearly semiglobular, projecting outwards. Apical segments of maxillary palpi slightly longer than subapical ones, apices faintly inflated ( Fig. 7B ). Pronotum elongate, anterior margin of pronotum arched, metazona slightly raised, posterior margin rounded, protruding backward; lateral lobes longer than deep, narrowing to backward, humeral sinus absent ( Fig. 7B ). Tegmina overlapped and concealed beneath pronotum, or slightly surpassing the posterior margin of pronotum, reaching the middle area of fourth abdominal tergite, apices rounded ( Fig. 7B ); hind wings absent. Fore coxae with 1 spine. All femora unarmed, apices of genicular lobes of hind femora obtusely rounded. Ventral surface of fore tibiae with 4 internal and 4–5 external spines, apices with 1 pair of ventral spurs; fore tibial tympana oval, opened on both sides. Middle tibiae ventrally with 4 internal spines, 5 external spines and 1 pair of apical spurs. Hind tibiae with 24–27 internal spines and 26–28 external spines on dorsal surface, ventral surface with 3–4 internal spines and 4–5 external spines, apices with 1 pair of dorsal spurs and 2 pairs of ventral spurs. Tenth abdominal tergite with 1 triangular concavity in the middle of posterior margin ( Fig. 7E ). Epiproct semicircular. Cerci densely setose; basal two-thirds stout, interno-dorsal margin widely expanded ( Fig. 7G ), which extends to internal surface in the middle area, forming 1 roughly rectangular process ( Fig. 7D ), before the process with 1 triangular lobe on ventral surface ( Fig. 7F ); apical third area of cerci spine-shaped and gradually upcurved ( Fig. 7D, E ). Subgenital plate longer than wide, ventral surface convex, basal margin with a triangular membranous area, posterior margin arched with a small projection in the middle ( Fig. 7F ). Styli subconical, slightly curved forward, apices obtuse, inserted at the apical area of subgenital plate on ventral surface ( Fig. 7F ). FIGURE 7. Phlugiolopsis platicercis sp. nov. Male: A–B. head and pronotum: A. dorsal view, B. lateral view; C–F. apex of abdomen: C. dorsal and slightly apical view, D. dorsal view, E. lateral view, F. ventral view. Female. Ninth and tenth abdominal tergites narrow, posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite with a small concavity ( Fig. 8C ). Ovipositor gradually upcurved behind middle area ( Fig. 8F ), dorsal and ventral margins smooth; apices of dorsal valvulae acute, apices of ventral valvulae with a small hook ( Fig. 8F ). Subgenital plate longer than wide, roughly rectangular in ventral view, baso-lateral areas extending to a dactylitic lobe ( Fig. 8E ), lateral margins behind the lobe obviously constricted, and then roundly convex ( Fig. 8E ), posterior margin almost straight ( Fig. 8D ). Coloration. Body yellowish brown. Eyes black. Scapes and pedicelli dark brown. Flagellar segments with brownish rings on each segment. Dorsal surface of head with 2 pairs of longitudinal brown stripes, the lateral stripes extending to the posterior margin of pronotum. Disc of pronotum brown with between lateral stripes black brown. Apices of femora and basal areas of tibiae dark brown. Apices of tegmina dark brown. Abdominal tergites dark brown. Subgenital plate brown. Material examined. Holotype : male, Yangwan , Malipo , Yunnan , July 24, 2021 , coll. by Wei Bin, Xiaoyu Peng and Xun Bian . Paratypes : 3 males and 1 female , the other information as holotype . Measurements (mm). Body: 6.4 6.8 7.4; pronotum: 4.6 5.4, 3.7; tegmen: 3.2 3.7, 2.0; hind femur: 8.0 8.5, 8.4; ovipositor: 5.0. Distribution. Yunnan (Malipo). Discussion. The new species can be distinguished from Phlugiolopsis huangi Bian, Shi & Chang, 2012 (Chinese name: nae吟ª ) by posterior margin of male subgenital plate arched convex with 1 small median process; female subgenital plate rectangular with baso-lateral areas lobate expansion ( Fig. 8D ). Etymology. The name of the new species is derived from male cerci with wide dorso-internal lobe.
