Taxonomic remarks
Evans (1953)
considered
Pellicia herophile
Hayward, 1940
as a subspecies of
Pachyneuria licisca
Plötz, 1882
. Later,
Steinhauser (1989)
elevated its status as a species of
Pachyneuria
, and this taxonomy has been followed until the description of the genus
Viuria
(
Cong
et al.
2019
)
.

Peru
, and
Brazil
(

).
Evans (1953)
also cited the occurrence of
V. herophile
in the state of
Minas Gerais
,
Brazil
, and in
Paraguay
, but these specimens were not examined in the present study.
