Miocene ( Sacco 1895 ; Ferrero Mortara et al. 1984 ). Remarks. The genus Triforis is of feminine gender, therefore the name should be Triforis perversa var. cylindrata . It is considered a junior synonym of Trochus perversus Linnaeus, 1758 ( Bouchet 1985 ) .
