Notes
Abundant on the rocky outcrops, desert shrub communities (Fig. 28), and plateaus surrounding MDRS, this species is well adapted to disturbance in Utah's desert rangelands (
Welsh et al. 1993
).
Gutierrezia sarothrae
was previously reported from the nearby San Rafael Swell as
Xanthocephalum sarothrae
(Pursh) Shinners (
Harris 1983
).
Gutierrezia
is now segregated into a distinct genus (
Nesom 2006
).
