Remarks.
The measurements of specimens collected fit the original description as well as the redescriptions provided by El-Banhawy (1984) and Moraes
et al
. (1991) for specimens from Espirito Santo (
Brazil
) and
Colombia
respectively. Gondim Jr. & Moraes (2001) reported specimens from Pernambuco and São Paulo to have shorter calyx (ca. 30% shorter than original description).
