Trees, shrubs or lianas; thyrses, cincinni 1 - flowered; pollen 4–12 - pantoporate (colporate in

); styles free, rarely connate, parallel; stigma terminal, capitate; drupes or mericarps smooth or winged, presence of azolidines, benzodioxoles, organochlorides, quinolizines, absence of organic carbonic acids and derivatives, organic phosphoric acids and derivatives.
