Remarks.
The specimens agree basically with the descriptions and illustrations of
Baba (1988
,
2005
) except the presence of a pair of anterior branchial spines on the carapace while there is no anterior branchial spine in the
type
. The following characters can be used to distinguish this species from those of the similar genus
Munida
: antennular basal article has no lateral spine proximal to distolateral spine; antennal peduncle is slender and articles 1 and 2 are spineless.
