Biological notes
. A small series of specimens belonging to this rather common species, widespread in central
China
, was recently collected by the authors ML, MH and PA (
July 2015
) in several localities of northern Sichuan [Jiuzhaigou Valley; Nanping area, pond-lake of Gan (Ganhaizi)] and southern Shaanxi [Taibai Mts]. All specimens were collected on flowering
Rosa
sp. with large whitish-pink flowers, still pending specific identification (
Rosaceae
). As hypothesized by
Audisio
et al.
(2015)
,
Rosa
spp. are likely the larval host-plants of this species.
