Identification and natural history.
One adult female (
USMHC
2456,
SVL
26 mm
) matched Hasan et al.’s (2014) and Poyarkov et al.’s (2019) description in having rounded snout; hidden tympanum; first finger shorter than second; fingers free and slender; tips of fingers and toes not widened; slight rudimentary webbing on toe; distinct subarticular tubercles on fingers and toes; two small but prominent, subequal metatarsal tubercles; smooth skin; greyish-olive dorsum with distinct X-shaped marking on the back, beginning between the eyes and widening as it extends to the posterior of the body with wavy dusky lines along each sides of the marking; dark band present along sides of head and body; dark cross bars on limbs; inverse U-shaped marking on the anus; greyish throat with faint white spots and an immaculate grey belly. The specimen was found in leaf litter by trail at night.
