Distribution in Europe: Probably native to Northern Spain , southern France , Italy and Northern Croatian coast, but range expanded all the way to Ireland and Northern Germany in the north, and Central Slovakia , Southern Poland and Serbia in the east ( Hochkirch et al. 2016 ).
