( Figs. 31–40 ) Tetranodus xanthocollis Chemsak, 1977: 125 ; Chemsak et al. , 1992: 74 (checklist); Monné, 1993: 73 (cat.); Monné & Giesbert, 1994: 121 (checklist); Martínez, 2000: 91 (distr.); Monné, 2005: 554 (cat.); Monné & Hovore, 2006: 133 (checklist); Ødegaard & Frame, 2007: 705 ; Maes et al. , 2010: 506 (distr.); Monné, 2019: 827 (cat.); Bezark, 2019b: 177 (checklist). We believe that Chemsak (1977) described this species in Tetranodus due to the male antennae with antennomeres III–VI incrassate. However, photographs of the holotype ( Figs. 31–33 ) and allotype ( Figs. 34–36 ), both deposited at FMNH, as well as the information in the original description (“eyes moderate sized, not acute behind”) show that the upper eye lobes are absent. Accordingly, the species is transferred to Pentanodes . Monné (2005 , 2019 ) recorded T. xanthocollis from Costa Rica . However, we did not find any other work mentioning this species from this country.
