Description.
BL:
1.90–2.10 mm

Body light to dark brown; antennae, mouthparts and legs lighter, abdomen with segments V–VII darker than remaining parts of body (
Figs 1, 2
). Body flattened and densely covered with vestiture of fine microsetae. Dorsum of head, pronotum and elytra with granulate microsculpture.
Head somewhat wider than long, without differentiated neck. Eyes small, as long as genae. Antennae with scape as long as pedicel, about 3.0 times longer than wide; antennomere 3 shorter, about 2.0 times longer than wide; antennomeres 4–7 subquadrate, 8–10 slightly transverse, 11 twice as long as 10. Labrum subrectangular with anterior margin carrying inflated hyaline a-sensilla produced (

). Epipharynx with set of denticles in lateral regions (

). Right mandible with conspicuous tooth at inner margin (

), prostheca developed.
Lacinia and galea of equal length (
Fig. 6
), lacinia with apex slightly curved (

), galea with four conspicuous setae on external margin (

), maxillary palpomere 2 and 3 subequal in length, 4 elongate (

). Mentum with lateroapical angles short and anterior margin strongly emarginate (

); labial palpus with three palpomeres; ligula elongate, almost reaching middle of palpus, with small pseudosegment (

).
Pronotum somewhat wider than long (PW/PL: 1.1) (

), narrowed to base. Elytra shorter than pronotum, somewhat wider than long (BW/EL: 1.28), narrow at base and expanded behind.
Hind
wings not developed, very short (brachypterous). Tarsal formula 4-4-4, last metatarsomere elongate (

).
Abdominal tergites II-VII with transverse depression basally, inconspicuous on tergite VIII; male sternite VIII with posterior margin strongly acute (

). Tergite IX separated by tergite X and with ventral struts.

Female similar to male, except sternite VIII with posterior margin subtruncate (
