Remarks.
This taxon is part of the
Bothriembryon kingii
species complex that extends from the Walpole area in the west to near Hopetoun in the east.
Smith (1992)
placed this species in the synonymy of
Bothriembryon kingii
(Gray, 1825). However, we are of the opinion that this species groupneeds further study.
