Ecological notes
. The pupae of this species were collected from trailing grasses in the water. Associated species included

Remarks.
This species was described from Mt. Murud,
Sarawak
(
Takaoka
et al.
2015
). It is characterized by the female claw with a relatively long tooth, pupal gill filaments with somewhat inflated basal portions, and wallpocket-shaped cocoon.
This is a first record of this species from Sabah.
