One pupa and one pupal exuviae, collected from a small stream (width 1.2 m , depth 12 cm , streambed pebbles, water temperature 16.3˚C, shaded, altitude 1,808 m , 06˚01.446’ N/116˚32.648’ E), moderately flowing in a natural forest, downstream of Carson Waterfall, Timpohon, Mt. Kinabalu, Sabah, 18-VI-2014 , collected by M. Sofian-Azirun, Z. Ya’cob, C.D. Chen, K.W. Lau, N.A. Jamil & M. Rasul. Ecological notes . The pupae of this species were collected from trailing grasses in the water. Associated species included S . ( S .) crassimanum . Distribution. Sarawak and Sabah ( New record ) Remarks. This species was described from Mt. Murud, Sarawak ( Takaoka et al. 2015 ). It is characterized by the female claw with a relatively long tooth, pupal gill filaments with somewhat inflated basal portions, and wallpocket-shaped cocoon. This is a first record of this species from Sabah.
