Remarks : Simophion is distinguished from other genera by the absence of epicnemial carina, the polished and completely uncarinated propodeum and the strongly bent radius right before the junction with the pterostigma (in this respect similar to Eremotylus ). A desert species previously recorded from Iran ( Horstmann 1981b , Baraohei et al 2012).
