Historically it was found at Sokodé, as demonstrated by a voucher deposited at ZMB. REMARK Matschie described two distinct subspecies both from Togo in 1915: L. manguensis Matschie, 1915 from Tchanaga and L. mischlichi Matschie, 1915 from the northern part of the Kete Krachi District ( Grubb et al. 1998 ), an indirect evidence of the former aboundance of the species in Togo .
