Diagnosis (Modified from Townes 1970 and Sawoniewicz & Luhma 1992 ). Eye surface with setae. Clypeus usually transversely oval, not more than 3 × wider than length. Lower tooth of mandible shorter than upper tooth. Antenna of male usually with tyloids. Posterior edge of mesoscutum with transverse thin suture. Scutoscutellar groove with strong median longitudinal carina. Area superomedia of propodeum of female usually wider than its length; apophysis more or less distinct, sometimes strong and toothlike. Median carina of first metasomal tergite strong at least in front of spiracle. Ovipositor compressed, without distinct ridges.
