Elytrimitatrix ( Grossifemora ) lineatopora : Santos- Silva and Hovore 2007: 25 (new combination); Monné 2015: 235 (catalog). According to Bates (1880) (translated): “Femora moderately thickened, apex unarmed, with its middle and apex of tibiae dark.” Examining the holotype images (Barclay 2015), it is possible to see that the base of the tibiae is also darkened, and the description of the femora suggests that they are thicker than they actually are. Bates also stated that the holotype is a male. However, the apical palpomere and apex of ventrite five are typical of females, and not of males. From what we know, the holotype remains the only formally known specimen of the species.
