Diagnosis
. Black. Femora rufous, tibiae rufopiceous, knees and tarsi piceous. Elytral interneurs with regularly spaced and slightly cribriform punctulae; apex with more or less similarsized lateral and sutural dentiform projections. Eyes very large, hemispherical, head short behind eyes.
Description
. Color and luster: Black. Antennomeres 411 bicolored, red and black, tibiae rufous. surface Shiny. Form: Labrum entire. Head (

) behind eye moderately short, tapered in both sexes, more so in male. Prothorax "inflated" at basal third. Prothorax subtubular, short, robust, sutures effaced, dorsal surface flattened and densely punctate. Elytral apex (
Fig. 16
b) with more or less similar acute dentiform projections; interneurs with regularly spaced and slightly cribriform punctulae. Sternum VI (
Fig. 16
c) deeply vnotched in male, shallowly vnotched in female. Aedeagus (
Fig. 16
d) with ostium elongate, apex a double scimitar, parameres glabrous. Size: moderately large, 17.5 to 20.0mm in length,
4.86 to 5.16mm
in width.
