Note.
The general aspect, particularly the color pattern (
Fig. 1
), agrees with the description of
Gymnetis episcopalis
Gory & Percheron, 1833
, a synonym of
Allorrhina menetriesi
(Mannerheim, 1829)
, but this provisional identification must be corroborated by examination of additional specimens from the same area. This is the first food item mentioned for a species in this genus.
