Small to medium sized (
5.6–8.6 mm
), roundish to oval, rather flat, shiny and mostly black beetles, usually with at least two yellowish spots, markings or several stripes on elytra. Metaventral wings narrow and almost parallel. Prosternal process sharp at apex. Parameres not strongly bent at middle. Metacoxal lines anteriorly obsolete, not reaching posterior margin of metaventrite. Penis somewhat asymmetrical in ventral view. Distributed in the eastern Palearctic, Oriental and Australian realms.
