Diagnosis
. The new species is similar to
A. fallaciosa
Wang, 2004
and
A. basiprocessa
sp. nov.
in male genitalia. It differs from them in the distal process of the sacculus not reaching the apex of the valva, and the V-shaped ventral surface of the juxta. In the latter two species, the distal process of the sacculus reaches the apex of the valva, and the ventral surface of the juxta is inverted sub-triangular in
A. fallaciosa
(
Wang 2004
: fig. 16) and sub-rectangular in
A. basiprocessa
.
Description.
Adult (
Fig. 12
). Forewing length
8.1−8.7 mm
.
Head yellow. Antenna: scape yellowish brown; flagellum yellow, annulated with yellowish brown on dorsal surface. Labial palpus yellow, except second palpomere yellowish brown on outer surface.
Thorax and tegula pale yellowish brown. Forewing ground color yellow, with sparse dark brown scales; costal margin with a dark brown spot at base; discal, discocellular and plical spots dark brown, discocellular spot largest; terminal dots brown, ranging from distal 1/5 of costal margin along termen to tornus; fringe pale yellow. Hindwing and fringe yellowish brown. Fore- and midlegs yellow, tibiae and tarsi dark brown on dorsal surface except yellow at apex of each tarsomere; hindleg yellow, tarsus brown distally.
Male genitalia (
Fig. 26
). Uncus clavate, slender, slightly wide at base, rounded at apex. Gnathos circular, uniform in width. Tegumen trapezoidal posteriorly, with a large quadrate anterior emargination; lateral arm slightly narrowed to apex. Valva elongate rectangular, setose distally, rounded apically; costa wide at base, gradually narrowed to before apex of valva, with a long lineate ridge running from basal 1/3 to distal 1/6. Sacculus sub-trapeziform, dorsally extending to below costa; ventral margin banded, with a free spine-shaped distal process reaching before apex of valva. Saccus slightly shorter than uncus, wide at base, narrowed to pointed apex. Juxta with ventral surface V-shaped, triangularly produced anteriorly; dorsal surface turriform, with coiled ridges. Aedeagus slightly longer than valva, inflated basally, slightly tapered to apex; cornuti consisting of a tuft of spines placed at apex and a few larger spines at middle (
Fig. 26a
).
Female genitalia (
Fig. 37
). Apophyses posteriores about twice length of apophyses anteriores. Eighth tergum rectangular; eighth sternum convex medially and with a small V-shaped notch in middle on posterior margin. Lamella antevaginalis sub-rectangular, wider than long, concave at middle on posterior margin. Antrum short, funnel-shaped. Ductus bursae with posterior half uniform and straight, sclerotized; anterior half inflated, membranous, curved; ductus seminalis arising from about middle of ductus bursae. Corpus bursae rounded, shorter than ductus bursae; two signa rounded, densely toothed, with unequally sized spines radiating from all margins: one situated at junction of ductus bursae and corpus bursae (
Fig. 37a
), the other at posterior 1/3.

and -

, referring to the shape of the sacculus.
