Occurs in a wide range of habitats ( De Grave & Anker 2017 ). Distribution . Common and widely distributed in the western Atlantic from Bermuda to Uruguay in the intertidal to about 5 m depth ( De Grave &Anker 2017 ; Poupin 2018 ). Previous records from Curaçao by Schmitt (1924 , 1935 , as Palaemon affinis ), and Holthuis (1952) . The species is here recorded for the first time from Sint Maarten .
