Type species: Crasilogia dispar Warren, 1903 . Crasilogia Warren : Scoble, 1999: 192 (checklist). Diagnosis. Labial palpi porrect, second segment long, third short and decumbent. Antennae simple in both sexes. Wing expanse 27–44 mm . Forewings with two areoles, often with discal dot enlarged, brown, edged with whitish scales. Male hind wings reduced in size, with apex rounded or angled, often with vein Rs forked close to the termen ( Fig. 2 ), sometimes with termen emarginate posteriorly, with the upper surface covered with thick layers of silky hair, often with a complex blotch of blackish androconial scales near tornus. The eighth abdominal segment in males with thick coremata tufts ( Fig. 3 ) and with sternum A8 with a horseshoe-shaped sclerotisation ( Fig. 4 ). In male genitalia uncus well developed, with basal outgrowths enlarged and attached to the distal area of the tegumen. Base of tegumen connected to the base of the subscaphium through an intercalar sclerite. Valva with costa very short, with a medium sized to broad ring of weak sclerotisation at base. Paratergal plate between the tegumen and vinculum present. Labides shaped like a bulge or sickle, hairy apically, with a basal pocket connected to the intercalar sclerite. Vinculum broad, with a horn-shaped dorsal process of lateral branches of vinculum (often not well seen on slides) and a medium sized to large anterior hook. Juxta somewhat heart-shaped, shifted towards the tegumen. Aedeagus with a patch of small or large cornuti and fine scobination in vesica. In female genitalia papillae anales short, apices rounded, apophyses posteriores and apophyses anteriores rather long. Antrum (or sinus vaginalis) medium sized. Ductus bursae rather short or medium sized, partly sclerotised, parallel sided, corpus bursae usually oval, membranous. Ductus seminalis thin, inserted on corpus bursae near entrance of ductus bursae. Signum and patches of fine scobination usually present.
