Lectotype : ♂ , India : Kerala : former Malabar District (BMNH, coll. Banks), designated by van der Vecht 1961: 43 (use of the word “ type ”). Pulawski (2021) gives a list of the synonymy, which is not repeated here. Diagnosis. Female. Frons distinctly pilose, sculpture not visible due to pilosity; clypeus apico-medially with median incision separating two lobes, these two lobes followed by lateral incisions forming blunt lobes sublaterally ( Fig. 43 ); pronotal collar dorsally with broad yellow band, medially deeply notched; mesonotum almost transversely striate, striae becoming oblique posteriorly, striation bold and more distinct than in S. javanum nalandicum ; scutellum with longitudinal oblong striation; metanotum with broad yellow band and fine punctures; propodeal enclosure with wavy striation and shallow depression in middle ( Fig. 45 ); mesepisternum shiny with fine punctures; propodeum side with striation and punctures in interstices ( Fig. 46 ); metasoma black with fine setae ( Fig. 47 ); petiole yellow.
