No. 8500 ( lectotype K !, first-step designated by Matthew [1991: 543] ; second-step K001125709 !, designated here; isolectotypes K000695609 !, K000695610 !) Notes:— N. colebrookiana var. heyneana was described by J . D. Hooker (1876) based on a material in Heyne Herbarium, included in the Wallich catalogue as Wall. Cat. 8500 “Terebinthacea?”. Matthew (1991) in his precursory notes for the Flora of Pulney hills had noted “ N. heyneana Gamble , l.c. Type: Wallich, Cat 8500 ( K )”. We were able to trace 3 sheets of N. colebrookiana var. heyneana — K 001125709!, K 000695609!, K 000695610!, of which K 001125709!, which agrees with the protologue, is selected as the second-step lectotype following Art. 9.17, as the case with an earlier name, the choice of Mathew (1991: 543) at K , has to be accepted as the first-step lectotype . As per Art. 7.3., Nothopegia heyneana Gamble is automatically typified by the type of its basionym. Matthew (2002) treated Nothopegia colebrookiana var. heyneana Hook. f. as a synonym of Nothopegia monadelpha (Roxb. 1814:83) Forman (1998) .
