Hyalopeplus clavatus : Pathak 1969 : 39 (citation from India in PhD); Carvalho & Gross 1979 : 479 480 (redescription, DV); Schuh 1995 : 678 (catalogue), 2002 2013 (online catalogue). Diagnosis. Large Hyalopeplus (total length about 10 mm , maximal width across hemelytra 2.8 mm according to Carvalho & Gross, 1979 ). Globally yellowish orange to ochraceous with reddish or blackish stripes. Pronotal collar transversally striate. Pronotal callosities wide, punctate, devoid of longitudinal reddish zig-zag shaped stripe. Pronotal disk transversally striate on the swollen (median) part of the disk, slightly punctate laterally and posteriorly. Humeral angles pointed, obviously produced, black. Species described from Bengladesh, also known from China ( Fujian , Guangxi , Yunnan ), India (Bengal), Indonesia ( Java ) and Malaysia ( Carvalho 1959 ; Carvalho & Gross 1979 ).
