Diagnostic characters.
The male of
Corynoneura canchim
can be differentiated from other species with phallapodeme attachment placed in the caudal apex of the sternapodeme, phallapodeme sclerotized on posterior margin and apex of hind tibia with a s-shaped seta, by the antenna plumose with 8 flagellomeres, tergite X apparent, superior volsella low without long setae, inferior volsella low and broad, gonostylus curved. The female of
C. canchim
is characterized by the seminal capsules 32–37 µm long, both similarly sclerotized; copulatory bursa semi-circled, orally median invaginated. The pupa has rounded anal lobe, tergites with homogeneous shagreen and sternite
II
with long and colourless spinules. The larva has long antennae with the first segment longer than the postmentum length, mentum with two median teeth and head integument with dorsolateral sclerotized fold.
