Fruits 1.6–2.1 mm long, 0.7 to 1.2 mm wide, elliptical to obovate in outline, plano-convex to irregularly trigonous, often dorsoventrally flattened, apex widely round, rarely very small stalk base preserved, stalk distinct, cylindrical, truncate, surface longitudinally striate. R e m a r k s. According to Doweld (2018) , this fossilspecies resembles the extant species Schoenoplectiella mucronata (L.) J.JUNG et H.K.CHOI.
