Habitat.
Cemented to limestone rocks and coral debris from low in the littoral and sublittoral.

Scarce with single individuals found at Pointe Coton and Anse aux Anglais.
Remarks.
In many parts of the Indian Ocean
Chama
species
are very common and
C. asperella
is the most common intertidal form. Its rarity and paucity of all
Chama
species
in the
Rodrigues
lagoon is noteworthy.
