Goja tamensis
n. sp.
Male
(
Figs 100–105
)
Diagnosis.
Forewing R2+3 dichotomously branched, R4+5 two-branched, the second branch forked as illustrated, resulting in three veins at wing margin; a crossvein between R2+3 and R4+5. M six-branched, with M1 and M2 forked. Hindwing Rs and M three branched. Anterior endophallic sclerite a transverse, almost semicircular body bearing posteriorly two short, acuminate, curved apophyses on each side of the midline; posterior endophallic sclerites each constituted by a large, almost elliptical body, bearing posteriorly a slender, curved outward process, acuminate distally (
Fig. 105
). It is similar to
G. circumvittata
Casasola González & García Aldrete
, from which it differs in forewing venation and endophallic sclerites.
Color
(in 80% ethanol). Body brown. Head dark brown (
Fig. 102
), color pattern as illustrated; striae of postclypeus tenuous. Compound eyes dark brown, ocelli hyaline, with ochre centripetal crescents. Maxillary palps pale brown, Mx4 dark brown distally. Antennae pale brown. Thorax brown, tergal lobes of meso- and metathorax dark brown, mesopleura brown. Legs pale brown, apices of femora and tarsi dark brown. Forewings (
Fig. 100
), pale brown, pterostigma dark brown, a marginal brown band from R4+5 to wing base; veins brown. Hindwings (
Fig. 101
), almost hyaline, veins brown. Abdomen brown. Clunium, hypandrium, epiproct and paraprocts brown, hypandrium dark brown on sides. Phallosome brown, with endophallic sclerites and aedeagal arch dark brown.
Morphology.
As in diagnosis, plus the following: Head: H/MxW: 1.40; compound eyes large, H/d: 4.81; IO/ MxW: 0.80. Outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with six denticles. Mx4/Mx2: 1.11. Forewings (
Fig. 100
): FW/W: 2.66. Pterostigma: lp/wp: 3.92. Areola postica wide, rounded: al/ah: 2.67. Hindwings (
Fig. 101
): HW/w: 3.14. Hypandrium (
Fig. 104
) wide, posteriorly rounded, setose. Phallosome (
Fig. 105
) with side struts straight, slender; aedeagal arch V-shaped, with rounded apex; external parameres dilated, apically truncate and with short internal process, bearing pores posteriorly. Paraprocts (
Fig. 103
), oval, with a macrosetae near sensory field, and a distal setal field; sensory fields with 23 trichobothria on basal rosettes. Epiproct (
Fig. 103
) wide, convex anteriorly, rounded posteriorly; a setal field posteriorly, one macroseta mesally, other setae as illustrated.
