The genus Zherikhinia Alonso-Zarazaga, 1999 is characterized by the rostrum with five longitudinal carinae on the dorsal side; dorsally with eyes almost touching in middle and the interocular space with two rows of elongate scales; antenna with 4th segment slightly asymmetrical; club with 3rd segment a little longer than 2nd; femora with one large proximal and two to four small distal teeth; tibiae mucronate in male, unarmed in female; crenulation on 8th elytral interval absent; 10th elytral stria complete. Spiculum gastrale with a pair of lobes shaped like double-edged ax, slightly asymmetrical; spiculum ventrale approximately 1.7 times as long as gonocoxites; spermathecal duct convoluted near base; spermatheca C-shaped, with cornu, twisted apically around apex ( Kantoh & Kojima, 2011 ; Alonso-Zarazaga, 1989 ).
