Parapanteles can be readily identified by following combination of characters: basal antennal placodes 2-ranked, propodeum with areola mostly present, fore wing with areolet open, hind wing with vannal lobe evenly convex, metasomal terga 1-3 often coarsely sculptured and broad, first metasomal tergum with mid distal depression, and ovipositor short and thick in lateral view ( Valerio et al. 2009 ).
