Nova Scotia

), and in the
United States
from
Maine
south to
Florida
and
Alabama
, west to
Texas
,
Missouri
,
Kansas
,
Iowa
,
Wisconsin
,
Colorado
, and
California
(
Parsons 1943
;
Chandler 2001
;
Price and Young 2006
). The species is found at sap flows on maple, oak, hickory, and willow (
Parsons 1943
; A. Cline, pers. obs.) as well as in fungi and at lights (
Downie and Arnett 1996
) and is associated with oak wilt fungus mats (
Cease and Juzwik 2001
).
Price and Young (2006)
reared a specimen from the stem of a milkweed (
Asclepias syriaca
L.,
Asclepiadaceae
).
