Straneo (1938) lists C. picipes picipes as occurring in Hong Kong . Material : 1 ex. W.T.L., 18.iii.09 ; 1 ex. W.T.L., 6.iv.15 ; 1 ex. W.T.L., 18.iv.12 ; 1 ex. W.T.L., 7.vii.14 ; 3 exx. W.T., 17.viii. 10 in moist lower level of compost heap; 1 ex. W.T.L., 14.xi.14 . Biology : Imago found March to November. Found in un-natural, moist decomposed vegetable matter of household origin. Can be attracted to light, it is fully winged.
