Description.
Medium size, length 11.0–
14.1 mm
. Dorsal surfaces of head, pronotum and elytra metallic green or coppery, glabrous. Head with frontal furrows shallow and sometimes divergent posteriorly. Eyes large, more or less convex, each with two supraorbital setae. Antennae short, with antinnomeres 4 to 11 pubescent. Maxillary and labial palpi not dilated. Apical margin of ligula with four or six setae. Mentum tooth broad, slightly emarginate at apex. Pronotum broad, with two basal foveae on each basal side; lateral margin with a series of shallow indentations; lateral furrow with one to five setae; basal angles rectangular or acute, with one seta. Elytral intervals 1, 3, 5 and 7 wider than others and more or less raised; interval 3 with one to three setigerous punctures (but absent in some species); microsculpture lines on intervals 1, 3, 5 and 7 distinct or almost invisible. Abdominal sterna slightly rugose laterally; sternum 7 with two setae in male and four in female. Protarsi of male ventrally with two rows of squamous pads on tarsomere 1 to 4.
