Regional distribution.
ThiS SpecieS waS mentioned for
Mongolia
(
HöVSgöl
Lake) by SitnikoVa
et al
. (2006). We identified
G. terekholicus
in SampleS from three large lakeS of
WeStern Mongolia—Dorgon
, Khar, and Nogoon. In all three caSeS only empty ShellS were aVailable that makeS our identification proViSional.
Extra-limital distribution.
The
type
locality of
G. terekholicus
iS the
Tere-Khol’ Lake
, Situated in
TuVa
Republic near the RuSSian-Mongolian border (
ProzoroVa & StarobogatoV 1997
).
Morphology
.
Conchologically,
G.
terekholicus reSembleS
G. chinensis
but haS a little higher number (about 20) of the proState diVerticleS (SitnikoVa
et al
.
2006
),
whereaS in the latter SpecieS thiS number lieS between
12
and
17
(
Appleton & Miranda 2015
).
