( Figs 22 , 66–68 ) Description. MALE. Length 3.2 mm . Body dark castaneous. Wings subhyaline. Clypeus with median lobe concave (bidentate), apical margin thick in frontal view, medially with wide trapezoidal polished area; median carina absent. Frons coriaceous, punctures little distinguishable from texture surface. Vertex slightly convex. Notaulus present on anterior fourth of mesoscutum. Propodeal disc rugose. Hypopygium ( Fig. 22 ) with posterior margin with short and concave emargination. Genitalia ( Figs 66–68 ). Basal parameral expansion ill-defined, virtually absent. Aedeagal ventral ramus very short, laminar, surface vertical, apex spine-shaped. Aedeagal dorsal body with three pairs of apical lobes, outer pair laminar, surface subvertical and concave, apex rounded curved ventrad, ventral margin with quadrate expansion, ventral pair progressively narrowing apicad, apex sharpened; inner pair membranous, hairy. Howden ( PMAE ). Etymology. This species is named after João Maria Franco de Camargo, for his contribution on the studies of stingless bees.
