Marine, depth: 46–61 m ( Fukuoka & Murano 2002 ) . Distribution. So far, this species is only known from the south-eastern Andaman Sea, next to Phuket Island ( Fukuoka & Murano 2002 ). Remarks. To date, a total of 4 valid species of the genus Pseudomysidetes have been recorded. Among them, P . nudus shares similar morphology with P . japonicus , however, these two species can be distinguished by the following characters; in P . nudus , (1) the carpopropodus of the endopod of the third thoracic limb is divided into four articles and (2) the uropodal endopod’s inner margin bears no spines; while in P . japonicus , (1) the third thoracic limb is composed of five articles, and (2) uropodal endopod is armed with spines on the middle of its inner margin ( Fukuoka & Murano 2002 ).
