Holotype : CHINA : Tibet : male (MHBU), Shaqiong Village [沙琼村], Ridang Town [日当镇], Lhünzê County [隆子县], Lhoka City , 28°24.007′ N , 92°09.337′ E , 4190m , 9.VIII.2014 , Guo-Dong Ren , Xing- Long Bai & Jun-Sheng Shan leg. Paratypes : CHINA : Tibet : 4 males , 5 females ( MHBU ), same data as the holotype . Other material examined. 4 nymphs (MHBU), same data as the types . Diagnosis. E. everestiana reni subsp. nov . is distinguished from the nominotypical subspecies by yellowish abdomen, more broad and shorter tegmina and shorter pronotum. Description. Male. General: measurements (mm): body length: 18.0–18.5, overall length: 22.3–24.2, pronotum length×width: 4.7–5.2×8.3–9.3, tegmen length: 17.9–20.5. Size stout, yellowish brown, with brown maculae on tegmina ( Fig. 7 J–K). Head: vertex and the space between ocelli dark brownish black. Interocular space wide, as wide as the distance between ocelli. Ocelli large, robust drop-shaped, ocelli ridge not very distinct, straight, anterior edge with many yellowish long pubescence. Frons raised, posterior completely yellowish, slightly pubescent. Antennae brownish yellow. Clypeus distinct; ante-clypeus widely occupies the lateral and hind margins of the clypeus, light brownish yellow; post-clypeus brown. Labrum wide, yellowish brown, pubescent, lateral corners of distal part round, median of apex emarginated. Maxillary palpi and labial palpi brownish ( Fig. 14 H–I). Pronotum: anterior widely whitish yellow marginated, disc and hind margin dark brown, lateral parts light brown, the edge between the whitish yellow and brown parts light orange. Surface generally with small yellowish pubescence, lateral fore margins and apex with many additional long yellowish setae. Pronotum widest on the hind border near the middle, apex slightly convex, straight, lateral fore margins oblique, slightly curved, lateral parts subangular, posterolateral angles truncated, hind margin slightly arched ( Fig. 14 G ). Tegmina and wings: short, extended the end of abdomen about 3.4–6.4 mm . Tegmina short and broad, hyaline, slightly brownish, evenly and incompactly with irregular dark brown speckles. Wings hyaline, with distinct brown speckles at distal half. Legs: light brownish yellow, pubescent, spines on the legs reddish brown, distal darker. Abdomen: in ventral view, light yellow; each segment slightly brownish laterally and medially, with two brown dimples laterally except the last two; the last three segments much more brownish. Supra-anal plate pubescent, transverse; two median sclerites small to large; cerci short ( Fig. 24 A ). Subgenital plate asymmetrical, brown but with muddy yellow coloration, hind margin setose; styli similar, robust ( Fig. 24 B ). Genitalia: well sclerited. Left phallomere: L1 with anterior much protruded, round, left with a wide process, posterior with two angled lobes; L2 much curved, right end with two well sclerotized process, the distal one elongate; L3 straight, apex curved; pda well developed, paa bud shaped. Right phallomere: large. R1M stout, posterior hollow, transparent; R1L thin, slender; R3 much concaved; R2 well sclerotized, irregular ( Fig. 24 C–D). FIGURE 7. Measurements (mm): body length: 20.1–21.1, body width: 11.8–13.3. Unicolored, reddish brown to deep brown depending on specimen, pubescent; in dorsal view, segments from 3th to 5th of abdomen each with two dark spots laterally; supra-anal plate protruded type , median with a distinct longitudinal line which extending into the other segments of abdomen ( Fig. 7 L–M). Nymph. Similar to the female, but with light color. Ootheca. Unknown. Etymology. This subspecies is named in honour of Prof. Guo-Dong Ren (MHBU), one of the type collectors. Distribution. China ( Tibet : Lhoka City) ( Fig. 2 ).
