Shell externally ornamented with commarginal lamellae postero-dorsally. Pallial sinus shallow. Type locality ‘‘in litore prope Kisenuma Oceani pacifici lapides calcareous crystallinos penetrans’’ (from the coast of Kesen-numa, Miyagi Prefecture , Japan , boring into calcitic stones) . Distribution Japan , Hong Kong . Intertidal, nestling in rock and coral crevices ( Morton 1978 ).
