Polyphagous, reported from 95 species belonging to 6 plant families, but mainly associated with Cactaceae , in which it is recorded on 89 species ( García Morales et al. 2016 ). Distribution. Australasian, Nearctic, Neotropical and Palaearctic regions ( García Morales et al. 2016 ). This is the first record of S. mamillariae on Uruguay .
